Las Operaciones Unitarias en Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica ofrecen m\u00faltiples posibilidades en esa perspectiva, pues consisten de un conjunto de unidades de transformaci\u00f3n que mediando los estudios correspondientes permiten obtener sistemas de transformaci\u00f3n flexibles, de bajo costo y alta Laboratorio de Operaciones Unitarias: \u00c1rea de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda genera propuestas tecnol\u00f3gicas en base a la investigaci\u00f3n, con un enfoque sustentable y eficiente en el manejo de recursos materiales y energ\u00e9ticos pertinentes a las necesidades regionales, promoviendo la participaci\u00f3n interdisciplinaria en alianza con los actores econ\u00f3mico-productivos, sociales y pol\u00edticos para impulsar experiencias de desarrollo end\u00f3geno; aportando as\u00ed con su alto desempe\u00f1o al posicionamiento de la Universidad Docente universitaria e Investigadora principal de proyectos con fondos concursables. sustentable para el procesamiento integral de la naranja valenciana de la Regi\u00f3n Arequipa del sur del Per\u00fa<\/div><!-- Story Description --><div class=\"twae-description\"><p>En base a los resultados obtenidos en el estudio experimental cient\u00edfico tecnol\u00f3gico realizado previamente en la Facultad de Procesos de la Universidad Nacional de San Agust\u00edn de Arequipa, se pretende configurar, poner en marcha y evaluar el desempe\u00f1o de una tecnolog\u00eda sustentable, que incluye el aspecto ecol\u00f3gico y econ\u00f3mico productivo, para procesar de<\/p><p>manera integral, con un enfoque de econom\u00eda circular, y a nivel de planta piloto, naranja Valenciana (Citrus sinensis), producida en la Regi\u00f3n Arequipa.<\/p><p>Con una capacidad de 150 litros en el extractor, considerado el coraz\u00f3n de la planta, tama\u00f1o definido como el m\u00e1s adecuado, en la perspectiva de la comercializaci\u00f3n exploratoria de sus productos y subproductos; y, aplicando la s\u00edntesis de procesos como m\u00e9todo para generar distintas rutas tecnol\u00f3gicas, se evaluar\u00e1 su sustentabilidad empleando de manera complementaria, tanto el An\u00e1lisis de Exerg\u00eda como el An\u00e1lisis del Ciclo de Vida, ambos de probada efectividad en este rubro. Las etapas centrales de procesamiento, bajo la opci\u00f3n de sustentabilidad integrada adoptada en este proyecto, considera tanto la extracci\u00f3n por arrastre de vapor del aceite esencial de la c\u00e1scara de la naranja, como la extracci\u00f3n del jugo de su pulpa y la utilizaci\u00f3n de los subproductos y residuos que se generan.<\/p><p>Se espera que el rendimiento en aceite esencial, as\u00ed como la calidad del mismo en t\u00e9rminos de la cantidad de DLimoneno que contiene, sean semejantes a los obtenidos en el estudio previo, realizado en un m\u00f3dulo piloto de 5 Litros; circunstancia en la que se alcanz\u00f3 rendimientos de aceite, en el orden del 1.5% en peso; y, concentraciones de DLimoneno por encima del 95%.<\/p><p>De esta manera, se contribuye a resolver la problem\u00e1tica del sector agrario arequipe\u00f1o, en el que predomina la pr\u00e1ctica extractiva sin agregaci\u00f3n de valor; pues actualmente ya se cuenta con una asociaci\u00f3n.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- Start of Story Repeater Content --><div id=\"story-bd31a63\" class=\"twae-story twae-repeater-item twae-story-left twae-story-no-icon\"><!-- Story Label --><div class=\"twae-labels\"><div class=\"twae-label-big\">2023<\/div><div class=\"twae-label-small\">Contrato PE501083565-2023<\/div><\/div><!-- Story Icon --><div class=\"twae-icon\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"far fa-clock\"><\/i><\/div><!-- Story Arrow --><div class=\"twae-arrow\"><\/div><!-- Start of Story Content --><div class=\"twae-content\"><!-- Story Title --><div class=\"twae-title\">Desarrollo de aerogeles como alimento funcional para el transporte de hierro a partir de mezclas de pectina y alginato proveniente de recursos naturales de la regi\u00f3n de Arequipa.<\/div><!-- Story Description --><div class=\"twae-description\"><p>En la perspectiva de contribuir en la mitigaci\u00f3n de las deficiencias funcionales causadas por la falta de hierro en el organismo humano se plantea el desarrollo de aerogeles que permitan su dosificaci\u00f3n oportuna. Dado que en la Regi\u00f3n Arequipa se cuenta con recursos marinos valiosos se evaluar\u00e1 la obtenci\u00f3n de alginato de sodio a partir de las algas Macrocystis pyrifera y Lessonia nigrescens, para establecer cu\u00e1l de estas algas permite la producci\u00f3n de mejores aerogeles. La producci\u00f3n de los aerogeles se realizar\u00e1 mediante mezclas de alginato y pectina en la perspectiva de aprovechar los efectos sin\u00e9rgicos que se manifiestan entre estos hidrocoloides. Tambi\u00e9n se investigar\u00e1 el desarrollo de estructuras porosas mediante la adecuada dosificaci\u00f3n de agentes espumantes. La evaluaci\u00f3n de los aerogeles y sus componentes se realizar\u00e1 empleando diversas t\u00e9cnicas avanzadas como microscop\u00eda de barrido electr\u00f3nica (SEM), reometr\u00eda, espectroscop\u00eda infrarroja (FTIR), calorimetr\u00eda diferencial de barrido (DSC), y determinaci\u00f3n de \u00e1rea espec\u00edfica (BET). As\u00ed se lograr\u00e1 el desarrollo de aerogeles que act\u00faen como alimentos funcionales para el transporte de hierro contribuyendo de modo significativo en la salud de la poblaci\u00f3n, en
